An Inquiry into the Root of Fear

Fear is an extraordinary jewel which has dominated human beings for forty thousand years and more. And if you can hold it and look at it, then one begins to see the ending of it.
We invite you to our annual Krishnamurti Gathering and Dialogues where we meet as a community in both large and small groups to inquire into the major themes of Krishnamurti’s teachings and their relevance to our daily lives.
The weekend begins Friday evening with a buffet and an orientation which includes discussion of the dialogue process. In addition to daily dialogues and video showings of Krishnamurti’s talks, there is opportunity for solitude, to meet informally, and to enjoy the lovely rural setting.
The Bishop Claggett Center is a 277 acre retreat center in Frederick County, Maryland, an hour’s drive from the Baltimore and Washington metropolitan areas.

About quarryhillcreativecenterVT

I am the daughter of the founders of Quarry Hill Creative Center in Rochester, VT. I've been a writer all my life, and also love to draw in pastel, like my mother. My father taught me to write and many other things (rather as Prospero taught Miranda). I learned many things from my mother too-- not just how to draw, but how to be caring and kind to animals and things that can not protect themeselves. "They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain." That has been her central point of view and is one of Quarry Hill's mottos. We welcome visitors, love children, and have places to rent and sell if anyone wants to come live in the beauty of the Vermont Mountains.
